Puy green lentil: Le Puy green lentil is a specialty of Puy-en-Velay (Fabaceae family - Botanical name: Lens esculenta puyensis).
It has had a controlled designation of origin since 1996, and a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) since 2008.
