Chayote: The chayote is a climbing squash (Cucurbitaceae family - Botanical name Sechium edule)). She is originally from Mexico. It is also called "cristophine" in the West Indies, "chouchou" in Reunion Island and "chouchoute" or "sosety" in Madagascar and Polynesia.
