Bélosse: nf The bélosse is a sloe, fruit of the ram which is a wild blackthorn with black thorns (Rosaceae family - Botanical name: Prunus spinosa), old French belloche, beloche and Celtic bulluca, small plum.
In some regions, it is made into brandy and desserts (tartlet, clafoutis, etc.).
