Chioggia beet: locut. Chiogga beet (sometimes spelled "shiogga") is of Italian origin from the region of Chiogga, a city in northeastern Italy.
Very popular with chefs both for its taste and decorative qualities, the interior is red with white zoning. It is especially suitable for salad or marinade.
