Guigne: Guigne is the fruit of the guignier (Rosaceae family – Botanical name: Prunus avium). It is a small long-tailed cherry, with soft, red and very sweet flesh, whose shape is reminiscent of that of bigarreau. In Anjou (central France), the guignolet is produced, which is a liqueur made from this fruit.
