Antilles cucumber : The West Indian cucumber (family of Cucurbits - Botanical name: cucumis anguria) is a species close to cucumber, but it is native to Africa, and it is mainly cultivated and consumed in the Antilles and South America (Brazil), including fruits ovoid are very thorny, like horse chestnuts.
Also called “angurie”, the West Indian cucumber is eaten in s ou candied in vinaigre, like the pickles. We can also do this sauter , stove as vegetable to accompany meat ou fish.
