Vary: v. (word from the Latin variare).
The verb “to vary” has several meanings:
I) Transitive verb
1. To give (a single thing) several distinct aspects, by repeatedly changing some of its characteristics (to make diverse, to diversify).
Vary his diet.
Familiar: vary the sauce.
2. To make (several things) clearly distinct, diverse, special in such a way as to surprise, amaze or distract.
Vary the pleasures (change).
