Salutary: adj. (word coming from the Latin salutaris, from salus: salvation).
The adjective “beneficial” has two meanings:
1. Who has a favorable action, in the physical domain (health, prosperity) or moral, intellectual (synonyms: advantageous, beneficial, beneficent, good, profitable, useful, healthy, salubrious).
A healthy climate for rheumatics.
2. Abstract meaning: Advice, salutary advice.
Opposites of salutary: unfortunate, fatal, bad, nefarious, harmful, pernicious....
