Unni appam (Indian cuisine): Unni appam, (Malayalam: ഉണ്ണിയപ്പം) is a small round Indian snack made from rice, jaggery sugar, banana, toasted pieces of coconut, toasted sesame seeds, ghee and cardamom powder fried in oil.
Variations of this organic, spongy fried dough using canned jackfruit instead of banana have been common since the late 2000s.
