Ube cheesecake: Ube cheesecake, also known as purple yam (ube) cheesecake, is a Filipino cheesecake made with a base of crushed graham crackers and a top layer of cream cheese and ube halaya (mashed purple yam with milk, sugar and butter). It can be prepared in the oven or simply refrigerated. Like other ube desserts in the Philippines, it is typically purple in color.
Do not confuse this cake with the Ube cake.
