Torteil (pastry): Torteil is a typical Catalan pastry, whose authentic name is "tortell". This crown-shaped brioche is a specialty of Villefranche-de-Conflent and Arles-sur-Tech, where it is flavored with green anise.
In Limoux, where it is traditional for the feast of the Kings, the tortell is garnished with candied fruit, raisins and pine nuts, then flavored with orange, lemon and rum.
