Torresmo (Portuguese cuisine): Torresmo is a culinary preparation made from pork skin (rind), browned in boiling oil until it becomes crispy. Originally from Portugal, the torresmo is also present in Brazil.
The difference between the Portuguese torresmo and the Brazilian torresmo lies in the part of the pork used: the Portuguese do it with pork skin and the Brazilians do it with the ventrèche (bacon).
