Carré de Salers (pastry): The Carré de Salers (or Carré d'Auvergne) is a dry biscuit from Salers in Haute-Auvergne (Cantal). It is made from flour, caster sugar, sweet butter, eggs and salt.
Salers squares are traditionally sold in a metal box with a tight lid.
