Sausselis (Russian cuisine): Sausselis are small preparations of Russian cuisine, close to French Dartois.
Sausselis, served as an appetizer or on the zakouski platter, are puff pastries traditionally filled with a mixture of lard-steamed cabbage, chopped onion and hard-boiled egg, although today their filling may be different.
