Samsa (North African cuisine): The samsa (or briouat) is a small triangular turnover filled with crushed almond paste and coated with honey syrup. It is found in the Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia).
It is a very popular little cake during the Ramadan period, made from homemade dough which remains very crispy despite the honey.
