Sabich (Israeli cuisine): Sabich, or sabih (Hebrew: סביח [saˈbiχ]) is an Israeli and Iraqi sandwich, made with pita bread stuffed with sautéed eggplant and hard-boiled eggs. The consumption of this sandwich in Israel is said to follow a tradition among Iraqi Jews to eat it on the morning of the Sabbath (*).
