Rihaakuru (Maldivian cuisine): Rihaakuru (ރިހާކުރު) is a thick sauce made from fish. The color varies from light brown to dark brown. It is a traditional condiment in Maldivian cuisine, eaten almost daily in every household in the Maldives and Minicoy since ancient times.
Rihaakuru is a by-product of the processing of Maldivian salted fish (in Dhivehi language: ވަޅޯމަސް) which is a salted and dried tuna traditionally produced in the Maldives.
