Pflutters: The pflutters are Alsatian dumplings of mashed potato with the addition of beaten eggs and flour (or semolina), sometimes moistened with milk.
The pflutters are poached in boiling water and served as a starter with melted butter. They can also be cut into cookie cutters and browned in a pan to accompany a roast. This preparation is also called “floutes” or “pflutten”.
