Pappardelle (pasta): Parpadelles are Italian pasta. These are large fettuccine, another variety of pasta.
Their name is a derivative of the Italian verb pappare which means "to devour".
Their dimensions are approximately 2 to 3 cm wide.
Classic pappardelles have flute sides and egg-based ones have straight sides.
They are often associated with wild boar meat in sauce (ragù).
