Orecchiette (Italian pasta): Orecchiette is pasta in the shape of small ears -ear is called orecchio in Italian- originating from the region of Puglia and Basilicata.
Called chiancarelle in the Tarantine dialect, they have the status of Prodotti agroalimentari tradizionali italiani (Traditional Italian agri-food product) in the region of Puglia and Basilicata.
