Nihari (Indian cuisine): Nihari is a stew from the Indian subcontinent (*) consisting of slowly cooked meat, mainly beef or lamb shank and mutton, goat meat and chicken, as well as bone marrow. It is flavored with long pepper (the word pepper comes from the Sanskrit pippali), a relative of black pepper.
