Nasi tim (Indonesian cuisine): Nasi tim is Indonesian steamed chicken rice. In the Indonesian language, nasi means rice (cooked) and tim means steam. The ingredients are chicken, mushrooms and boiled eggs. These are seasoned with soy sauce and garlic, then placed in the bottom of a pewter bowl. This pewter bowl is then filled with rice and steamed until cooked. This dish is usually served with a light chicken broth and minced leeks.
