Muqmad (Somali cuisine): Muqmad (or odkac) is a Somali dish consisting of preserved meat. The term muqmad is used in northern regions of Somalia such as Puntland, Djibouti and throughout Somaliland.
The term odkac is more popular in southern Somalia.
It is usually eaten with Somali canjeero bread, but sometimes on its own.
Although it is more common for it to be eaten at breakfast and lunch, it is also sometimes eaten at dinner.
