Lumpiang ubod (Filipino cuisine): Lumpiang ubod, also known as palm spring rolls, is a Filipino appetizer amuse-bouche consisting of ubod (heart of palm) julienned with various meats and vegetables in a thin egg pancake. It is usually served fresh (as a lumpiang sariwa), but it can also be fried. He hails from the town of Silay in Negros Occidental where an original variant, the lumpiang Silay, is still popular.
