Klepon (Javanese cuisine): Klepon (pronounced "klé-pone") is a traditional Javanese rice cake that is now popular throughout Indonesia and Malaysia.
It is a boiled rice cake, filled with liquid palm sugar (called in Indonesian gula jawa), and coated with grated coconut.
Klepon is green because it is flavored with a paste made from pandanus or dracena leaves which are commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisines.
