Curau (Brazilian cuisine): Curau (Portuguese pronunciation: [kuɾaw]) is a creamy Brazilian dessert made from the squeezed juice of unripe corn kernels, cooked with milk and sugar.
The term curau is mainly used in southern states such as São Paulo, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.
It is also called corá (pronounced [koˈɾa]) in Minas Gerais, papa-de-milho "maize porridge" in Rio de Janeiro, and canjica in the northern half of Brazil.
