Crabio (Guyanese cuisine): Crabio is the juice of Guyanese cassava (krabyo in Guyanese), previously detoxified (from which the toxins have been eliminated) by cooking and which is then prepared with fish mixed with crab and its fat.
This mixture gives a light gray or dark gray (or sometimes orange) color depending on the amount of crab fat added, hence the name crabio (Kuasapo in Kali'na*).
