Babka (Polish cuisine): Babka or bobka (in Polish old woman or grandmother) is a cake originating from Eastern Europe.
It resembles the Alsatian kouglof. The recipe is still relevant in Poland as in the Polish diaspora, and especially in New York and Montreal.
