Aubrac (cow): Aubrac is a French breed of cattle originating from the Aubrac plateau, in the south of the Massif Central (central France). It is a medium-sized cow, with a tawny coat with black mucous membranes, the tuft of the tail, the tips of the horns in lyre and the outline of the ears. Formerly used for work, milk and meat. Today, it is a suckler breed destined to produce meat. It is particularly appreciated for its hardiness and its maternal qualities.
