Clapshot (Scottish cuisine): Clapshot is a traditional Scottish dish that originated in Orkney and can be served with haggis, oatcakes (oatcakes), hash, sausages or cold meat. It is made with a mixture of mashed turnips and potatoes ("neeps and tatties") with the addition of chives and butter, fine salt and pepper.
Some versions include onions.
