Kabayaki (Japanese cuisine): Kabayaki (蒲焼) is a typical Japanese dish. These are eels skewered and grilled over a wood fire, drizzled with a kabayaki no tare sauce (蒲焼きのタレ), composed of eel broth, traditionally prepared with eel trimmings (head and bones), sake, soy sauce and sugar. kabayaki is usually served on a bed of white rice.
