Lobio (Georgian cuisine): Lobio (Georgian: ლობიო) is a traditional Georgian dish consisting of various types of prepared beans, containing coriander, walnuts, garlic and onion. There are many varieties of lobio, both hot and cold.
History of the lobio: It is said to have originated from Georgia. Although the dish may predate any division of land into countries, the most popular variation today uses red beans, which originated in the Americas.
