Chess festival : The Fête des Chocards, named after the local pastry specialty, a large turnover stuffed with pippin apple marmalade, is a special celebration held in the town of Yffiniac in the Côtes d'Armor (Brittany).
It traditionally takes place the last two weeks of November. It used to be a fairly large fair where "ruined" pigs and horses were sold.
Over time, the cattle market has disappeared but the fairgrounds are still there. The activities (funfair, street shows, garage sale, etc.) are going well and we are still enjoying ourselves as much.
