Pu-erh tea: Pu-erh tea or pu'er tea (Chinese: 普洱茶; pinyin: pǔ'ěr chá) is a post-fermented tea (dark tea). It owes its name to the city of Pu'er, in the Chinese province of Yunnan. This city was for a long time an important trading center located on the ancient tea and horse route connecting Yunnan to Tibet. The tea produced in the region was compressed so that it could be more easily transported by caravans to Tibet. ..
