Tamagozake: Tamagozake (卵酒 or 玉子酒) is a Japanese drink made from heated sake, sugar, and a raw egg. It translates to "egg sake", being made of kan ji 卵 tamago (egg) and sake 酒.
Tamagozake is a traditional home remedy for colds in Japan, but there is no medical evidence that it works. It could be likened to eggnog with alcohol.
Even though it is an alcoholic beverage, it is sometimes given as a cold remedy to children.
