Sungnyung (Korean drink): Sungnyung is a traditional Korean infusion made from burnt boiled rice.
Preparation: This drink is usually made from nurungji, the roasted (but not charred) rice crust that forms in the bottom of a pot after the rice is cooked. Water is poured over this brown crust and the contents are simmered until the water acquires sufficient scorched rice flavor.
