Seyval: The Seyval grape variety is a hybrid Franco-American white grape variety (named after its inventor Seyve-Villard), precocious, used mainly in the USA and Great Britain. In the USA, where it occupies 400 ha in the eastern states, it is the most widespread white hybrid. In Michigan and the Finger Lakes region, it produces dry, light and lively wines. Further south, sweeter and fuller wines. Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia produce more full-bodied wines....
