Demi-sec: adj. A semi-dry wine is a wine which, according to European regulations, must contain between 4 and 12 g of sugar per litre, after fermentation (residual sugar).
In champagne and other wines made using the Champagne method (traditional method), a demi-sec is a wine that contains between 4 and 6% liqueur d'envoi. It has between 33 and 50 g of residual sugar per litre.
