Rèze: Rèze is the first red grape variety mentioned in Valais. Its name Régy was mentioned in 1313 in the famous Anniviers Register, the first document showing the presence of grape varieties cultivated in Valais. It was then in the region of Granges (between Sierre and Sion). It rubbed shoulders with Humagne (the white, of course) and another red grape variety that we suppose to be the country's Red, today called Cornalin ....
