Millerands: nm pl. Millerands (also called milleranded grains) are small, seedless grapes formed on clusters whose grains normally contain seeds.
The Robert and Stéphane Sérol estate, in the Côte Roannaise, offers its cuvée from the 2005 Les Millerands red gamay noir, a wine from a single plot of grapes that have been milleranded. It is the fruit of small, seedless berries, thus giving much lower yields.
