Long guard: locut. A wine for "long aging" is a wine which can be kept in the cellar for several years without losing its qualities, while improving. So we can distinguish:
medium-aging wines that can be kept for 5 to 10 years
long-aging wines that age happily for 10 to 20 years
wines with a very long aging potential that are long overdue for more than 20 years.
