Grumer: v. tr. (word coming from the word log). "Grumer" means tasting a young wine that still has its primary fruit aromas.
In Burgundy, there is the brotherhood of grumeurs de Santenay and in Beaujolais, Les grumeurs des Compagnons du Beaujolais.
The latter organize each year the grumage which distinguishes the cuvées whose background and racial qualities make them particularly harmonious wines....
