Terrantez: The Terrantez grape originates from the “Dão” region where it is known as “Folgasão”. It is also cultivated in the island of "Azores" (especially in the areas of "Pico" and "Biscoitos") and that of "Madeira" where it is considered a noble grape in the production of sweet wines.
This rare variety is on the verge of extinction because it tends to rot easily. Rare are the times when it manages to be harvested.
