Brännvin (Scandinavian alcohol): Brännvin (in Swedish), Brændevin (in Danish), brennevin (in Norwegian), brennivín (in Icelandic) and (palo) viina (in Finnish) are the names, in the languages of some Nordic countries, for spirits based on potatoes or cereals in general, whether they are flavored or not.
