Bourboulenc: Very old white grape variety from Provence of undoubtedly Greek origin.It is cultivated for its aromatic potential entering into the composition of white Côtes du Rhône such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, tavel (a rosé) or certain white wines from Provence and Languedoc. It is synonymous with Malvoisie in Minervois. It is a fairly productive grape variety, with a large cluster, pinkish-white grain and thick skin.
