Prunelard: Belonging to the cotoid family, prunelard is an old red grape variety, originating from the south-west of France. It is often confused with Malbec, which happens to be its descendant. This variety is starting to experience a new attraction, so that the 15 hectares it currently occupies could increase.
Sloe clusters are small while its berries are medium in size. These look like sloes. This variety does not yet have any approved clones...
