Bock beer: Bock beer (in German: Bockbier or Starkbier) is a type of bottom-fermented beer brewed mainly in southern Germany (Bavaria), but originating in Lower Saxony. Bockbiere can be blond or brown and are distinguished by a high degree of alcohol, from 6% to 8% alcohol. They are generally recognized by their name which contains bock or the ending -ator (for Doppelbock).
