Aubun: Aubun is a full-bodied red grape variety with large clusters and large, hard-skinned black grains from the Rhone Valley.
Aubun is not to be confused with another grape variety with the same sound, Aubin. This is a plant of black grapes of which the Vaucluse is the probable cradle. Covering nearly 5400 ha of vineyards towards the end of the 90s, its cultivation was reduced to some 1400 ha in the mid-2000s. Aubun still occupies 3000 ha in the Côtes du Rhône and the Costières de Nîmes.
