Poaceae: Poaceae or Poaceae, formerly known as Grasses (Gramineae), is a taxonomic rank of plants of the order Poales. The current name comes from the genus Poa (bluegrass).
This family includes nearly 12 species in more than 000 genera and we find most of the species of plants commonly called "grasses" and "cereals", but not only: bamboos and sweet corn, for example, are also Poaceae.
