L'Apogée Courchevel in Courchevel : L'Apogée Courchevel is a 5-star hotel in the resort of Courchevel 1850 located in the valley of the Tarentaise en Savoy, France.
It is owned by Xavier Niel and managed by Oetker Collection.
History of the Apogée Courchevel: The Apogée Courchevel is a 100 million euro project financed half by private funds and the other half by Xavier Niel (*).
Its construction began in 2012. It opened on December 11, 2013 in Courchevel 1850 at the top of the station, in the Jardin Alpin district, close to the hotel White Horse Courchevel by Bernard Arnault opened a few years ago.
(*) Xavier Niel, born August 25, 1967 in Maisons-Alfort, is a French businessman. He is the founder and main shareholder of Iliad, a French telecommunications group, parent company of the Internet service provider Free and the mobile telephone operator Free mobile.
It is located on the site of the former Olympic springboard. Under brand Oetker Collection (The Bristol, the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc or the Château Saint-Martin & Spa), it has 53 bedrooms et suites, penthouse (300 m2 with jacuzzi) as well as two private chalets2 of 500 m² with spa, XNUMX°C jacuzzi, movie theater.
The hotel was entirely decorated by India Mahdavi and Joseph Dirand.
During the construction of the hotel, plans were made for restaurant chef Yannick Franques, who works in the summer at the Château Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence and in the winter in this establishment; the restaurant is not starred when it opens. Then Jean-Luc Lefrançois took charge of the restaurant in Vence and Courchevel the following year.
In December 2015, a second restaurant was created, Koori; the latter offers Japanese cuisine.
In October 2019, the establishment was promoted to the Palace distinction by Atout France.
